It's not exactly like that.
Yes he was disarmed before he was shot, a split second before, and then he went for his gun that wasn't there, but I'm pretty sure it went
off right after the CBP officer stripped it from him and before the gun call was made.
Which was made after he went for the gun he no longer had.
I learned about things like that happening when I was around 11 with the Barney Fife cousin messing with his dad's .45.
Government .45.
He screwed up his face like Barney Fife and said "Yeah, I always keep 1 in the chamber", then went to put the thing back up
in the closet in a holster belt on a peg, and it banged against the wall and blew a hole in the shit tank of that Winnebago.
We waited around until he came out looking dazed n confused n shit with cordite smoke rollin' out all around him, and scattered.
Because we didn't wanna get caught around there.

I don't think he got an ass whoopin', but the rest of us would have for general principles, for sure.
He's lucky he lived that day, for real.
Yep, there was the smell of Cordite and sewage that afternoon. Yessir.
So I am not keen on keeping a round racked in an automatic after that.
