It is nice to seek pleasure, but it can't be your one and only purpose in life!

Don't most people act in their own self interest by nature....??? Which would include treating others with due respect....

I don't really know how this correlates with my post, but my answer is, no. At times, yes, at other times, no. Many different things motivate many different people. It all depends.

Fair enough.....

I think MOST people do act in their own self interest, though sometimes that self interest may not be so readily apparent to others or even themselves....like saving a drowning swimmer at your own peril might not seem to be in your self interest from a certain perspective........
so we'll agree to disagree....

Actually I think you have that backwards. If Bravo can understand what you're saying then maybe it's time for self-reflection.
