Believing in the actual practice of freedom, not just waving a flag and chanting patriotic slogans, does not make you a socialist.

Free Market Capitalism is a liberal invention and most certainly not a conservative invention as conservative policy almost always leads to monopoly capitalism.

Believing that government has an important role in our lives and our nation and that effective governance is critical to our political, social and economic well being does not make one a socialist.

Liberal economic models provided by liberal economist, such as, Adam Smith and John Meynerd Keynes have done more to promote prosperity in our nation then conservative economic policy which has had devestating economic consequences in our nations history. Economic conservatism was responsible for the depression of the 1890's, The Great Depresion of the 1930's and our staggering national debt at present.

Libreal and Progressive policies have done more to promote entrepreneurship in this nation than conservative economic policy which has promoted regressive policies that promote anti-business trusts and monopolies. That is unless you believe that monopolies, company towns and child labor are sound economic policy.

The real truth is, is that we are one of the most prosperous nations in the world, where economic opportunities abound, due to liberal economic policies and the truth is, that conservative economic policy is anti-middle class and it's primary function is to create an aristocracy of money in which only an elite few prosper.
