How do voter ID laws harm Mexicans? Laws do not hurt honest people.................

They reviewed the voter ID law in Texas. Over a half a million registered voters didn't have a driver's license or ID card, and almost one third of TX counties didn't even have driver's license offices.

Beyond that, studies have shown that voter ID laws don't address any of the issues that relate to actual voter fraud (which is incredibly low, regardless).

Voter ID laws are designed to keep registered voters from voting.

Well considering many registered voters are bogus (see ACORN) then that is good

My state offered a free ID AND a ride to the ones in the State they identified as not having a proper ID under the law. TWENTY FIVE of damn near 170,000 took them up on it. Sad part is an asshole like you will blame the State for having the law because the lazy sons of bitches would't get off their ass for something that was free.

Nonsense because the same ID that allows one to register can be used to vote.....................Get a grip this is nonsense, if it is real then the fault is with registered voters who do not give a shit.

Fake news

Voter ID laws don't hurt anyone is my State. It identified damn near 170K that didn't have a proper ID under State law AND offered a ride to get it. 25 took them up on it. I guess you think the other 169K + are being mistreated because they're too damn lazy to get something for free? Let the item be food stamps or some other freeloader program and see how quickly they want that ride.

Thingy would have us believe that any state would pass a law where the ID used to prove who you are when you register isn't valid when going to vote. Since that doesn't happen, if they are registered, they have a valid ID to be able to vote. If they don't have a valid ID, they couldn't register, therefore, they can't vote at all.

To be eligible to register in Texas, you must:

  • be a U.S. citizen;
  • be a resident of the county;
  • be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months);
  • not a convicted felon (unless a person's sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
  • not declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law

This is existing law in Texas....how do you prove any of these requirements in the first place....

You just make the claims and its all ok....???

If you don't have to prove anything, you can an illegal, 10 year old, convicted felon on parole, that was
declared mentally incapacitated by a judge a minute ago and STILL
REGISTER TO VOTE....

If over 1/2 million registered voters didn't have a valid ID card or drivers license, then they shouldn't be registered to vote....

Mail in registration is ok and you don't even have to buy a fuckin' stamp, the tax payers will foot the bill for you....

Can't open a bank account without proof positive, voting matters less ?
