You explained why when you said "right after the attack." As soon as it came out that the perp is a #StopTheSteal, Q-Anon #TRE45ON follower, they had to concoct a spurious, scurrilous rumor to distract from the fact that the attack was politically-motivated and carried out by one of their wingnuts.
