How can the President of the United States

lease property from the Government of the United States? Doesn't that make the owner and the tenet the same person? If the Donald leases his Hotel in DC from the Federal Gov't, doesn't that represent potential conflict of interest questions seeing he is the Federal Gov't?

Clinton was indited vehemently via innuendo by conservatives for lesser potential conflicts, so how do the same people justify President Trump's relationship?

Should I wait for an answer?

I wouldn't wait for an answer. Better to sit around and think up a zillion potential conflicts of interest -because that is certainly going to MAGA.

The WH Counsel along with interested parties will write up some legaleese non use agreements/executive (TrumpWorld executive)
authority agreement standards and that is going to be that..
If Trump is found guilty of malfeasance, he gets impeached. Voters put him in Office knowing he was a gazillionaire -
it is what it is.

May I assume that you had as much concern of the Clinton Foundation while Mrs. Clinton held the office of Secretary of State?

Lesser conflicts?

Sure, quid pro quo was automatically assumed, but never established, the potential was certainly there as it will be with Trump, but nothing was ever proven.

Trump's position will be even more tenuous, meeting with business partners from India and Japan with family members right after he is elected behind close doors could be portrayed as the same as Clinton supposedly selling influence

No, and I'm not suggesting anything corrupt about Trump, but conservatives did regarding Clinton, so how do they now overlook Trump's situation?

Sure they will, but who is going to moderate them? For a guy who dwells in secrecy as Trump does it is certainly a questionable position

The corruption of the Clinton Foundation has been going on for years and well-documented through Wikileaks. Trump has yet to be in office, and thus you can only theorize about the potential conflicts of interest. You don't see the difference?

it's part of being POTUS...if I knew exactly how this would go down, i'd go buy a winning lottery tix.

Clinton was indicted not because of the mistakes she made....but just like her husband, her honesty was under indictment, she never admitted to the obvious mistakes she made and is documented as LYING UNDER OATH.

And FYI; There is no legal conflict of interest for any president of the United States...as the president is excluded from such common law. Title 18, Section 208 of the US CODE...exempts both the President and Vice president from any conflict of interest laws.

Simply because the left is bitching...don't make that fact untrue. Its like the left bitching about winning the popular vote. Bitch Away. Mr. Trump is going to sign away all interests to any Trump Holdings. He is not required by law to place those holdings into a blind trust. Deal with it. Prosecute Him if you can....once you can prove that his position has benefited him beyond any reasonable and customary business profits. In other words you would have to prove that He acted in his position as potus to get more that he would have customarily received during any normal business proceeding. The way Hillary did with her position as sec. of state when she would routinely lobby foreign governments to book her husband for speaking engagement....in exchange they expected a little political payback. Go for it. Knock yourself out. This will be entertaining if nothing else. Prove either case......

As for me....I would wager that Hillary will be wearing an orange jumpsuit much sooner than Donald Trump.

He is not the federal government. Just because bo thought he "ruled" it didn't make it so.
If it's a Trump hotel, how does it suddenly become the federal government doing the leasing ?
At least make a coherant if silly scenario.
