How and Why the False Climate Consensus is Manufactured

Heh. Y2K at least produced some hilarious bugs in computer code!

* Some automated weather stations flipped to December 32nd, 1999. A quick power on reset fixed it of course.
* The Star Trek fan club website went offline. I guess it couldn't figure out the Stardate.
* A licensing system in New England started issuing license renewals for 'horseless carriages'. Obviously someone's idea of a joke.
* The WWV (World Standard Time Coordinate) website went down. How embarrassing! Fortunately, neither the clock nor the beacon was affected.

So....good entertainment....nothing more.

The Church of Global Warming has been around since the turn of the century. That was when CO2 was first blamed for 'global warming' (which is simply not possible).

Not so excellent. Like all articles of its kind that I've seen it relies on cherrypicking and false assumptions. An example of the latter:

"Climate science has long since lost its independent status. It cannot, for example tell us what the balance should be between mitigation (measures to prevent climate change) and adaptation (measures to prosper safely within a warming world)."

Science does not attempt
to say in advance what that balance should be. The balance is found if it can be found by trial and error, a process achieved through public policy which the author demeans. What science does is
show us the need for such trial and error.

Bret and Heather have been talking a lot about how sciency false consensus is constructed.

1) Silence and drive out all dissidents.

2) Claim a consensus.

3) Get the Mind Molders to push the claim of consensus.

4) Dare anyone to dispute the claim of consensus after they have seen what happens to dissidents.

1,200 scientists, scholars: ‘There is no climate emergency’

'Led by a Nobel Prize laureate, more than 1,100 scientists and scholars have signed a document declaring climate science is based more on personal beliefs and political agendas than sound, rigorous science.

The World Climate Declaration states climate science “should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific.”
