Obama is not black...what makes him black? His birth slut was white

My white race is not killing each other at anywhere near the same rate... We are inferior to the blacks when it comes to killing each other in America

Blacks are FAR superior at killing each other

I've never engaged with an African American fellow citizen in deadly combat, true enough,
but in combat-sport, my "disadvantaged" white self managed to outperform quite a few of them.

Don't be so pessimistic about yourself, vols.
Go give it a try.

Climb into the sewer fart harvester

You racists lost already

The boot is coming for your worthless to humanity assface

Go back to your ancestral home

That cement outcropping down on the sewer

Wave at all the turds as they float by

It’s the most productive thing racists can do for the world

Black Americans make up the majority of gun homicide victims in the US. In fact, 83% of all gun deaths among Black Americans are gun homicides.11 Despite the fact that Black boys and men account for just six percent of the total population, they comprise more than half of all gun homicide victims.12

The disparities in Black and white homicide rates are particularly stark in large cities and counties. Research suggests that roughly half of all gun homicides take place in just 127 cities,13 driving the elevated rates of homicides in these geographies. In the nation’s 20 largest counties, Black men ages 18 to 25 die from gun homicides at a rate nearly 19 times that of white residents.14 This disparity means that while five out of every 100,000 young white people in these counties die from gun homicides, more than one in every 10,000 young Black people are killed in such incidents.15

The left just ignores these stats...and scream racist racist racist

Right and black people are more likely to be killed by another black person than by either a cop or a white person

This disparity is the result of centuries of oppression and disinvestment. Gun homicides, assaults, and police shootings all occur at a disproportionate rate in historically underfunded communities. This underfunding is the result of past racist policymaking and perpetuates long-standing racial inequities.

Disproportionate rates of gun violence have also been exploited by the gun lobby and other bad actors who have pushed dangerous myths to spread fear and to advance a pro-gun agenda rather than invest in proven solutions like community violence intervention and victim support. Two of these myths are particularly pernicious.

Myth 1: “Black-on-Black Crime”

The racist myth of so-called “Black-on-Black crime,” suggests that there is a rampant crime problem within Black communities. It perpetuates the myth that intraracial violence is specific to the Black community and that Black people are inherently violent—a myth that has been used to justify the mistreatment of Black people in the United States for centuries.

The suggestion that Black people are predisposed to violence dates as far back as 1896 when it was included in the first nationwide report on racial crime data. That report did not go unnoticed or unchallenged, as Jameelah Nasheed points out in this column: “[In response to that report, W.E.B.] Du Bois made two points that we’re still grappling with more than 120 years later: the different ways in which Black and white Americans are treated by our justice system, and the relationship between crime and the threat of poverty due to systemic racism.”

Data shows a clear connection between poverty and violent crime. And in the United States, poverty is inextricably linked to anti-Black racism and white supremacy. Because of centuries of racist policymaking and disinvestment, more Black people than white people live in poverty in the United States, but research has shown that Black and white people in poverty commit crimes at the same rate. In general, white people commit crimes against other white people at about the same rate as Black people do against other Black people. Despite the facts, no one ever decries the “white-on-white crime” problem.

The Black-on-Black crime myth is not just inaccurate, it is harmful. Beyond perpetuating anti-Black racism, it is used as a tool to dismiss or distract from calls for justice from the Black community. It is especially common in the aftermath of police shootings of Black people and in response to the rallying cry that Black lives matter. In this context, the myth serves to not only discredit the calls for justice and shift blame to the Black community, but also, at its worst, to justify police violence. To call the fallacy of Black-on-Black crime anything other than anti-Black racism is an injustice in itself.

Poor is a racist lib excuse

These shooters have 150.00 Nike on 300+ cell phones etc etc

Even if your premise has a measure of validity, Geek,
which it very well may have--I'm no sociologist--
it doesn't in any way bring discredit on volsrock for
loathing the crimes and criminals alike.

If his facts are accurate--
I neither know, nor not living in a particularly dangerous neighborhood, care if they are--
he has then presented credible evidence
that too many of our fellow citizens of African descent
are indeed making themselves problematic as frequent perpetrators of violent crime.

The fact that the presence of these dangerous African American criminals
of whom he seems very, very afraid
is directly attributable to Euro-American malfeasance
in the importation of black slaves
is an obvious, unchallenged fact, not a presumption,
that he refuses to acknowledge.

Why should we care, then,
if some black thug
slices him him up throat to balls
or not?
He's shooting off his mouth enough to deserve it it, isn't he?

Poverty and Violent Crime Don’t Go Hand in Hand

New data on Asian-Americans in New York City undercut a common assumption.

The Columbia study revealed the startling news that nearly one-quarter (23 percent) of New York City’s Asian population was impoverished, a proportion exceeding that of the city’s black population (19 percent).

Asians had consistently low arrest rates for violent crime—usually lower than their proportion of the population, lower than those of blacks and Hispanics, and in one category (assault), even lower than that of whites, who, as a group, are far less often impoverished.

Using NYPD data, I calculated the arrest rates for violent crimes of each social group, accounting for the population size of each.

Violent Crime Arrest Rates Per 100,000 of Major Social Groups, NYC, 2020

Asian murder arrest rates were nearly one-ninth of black rates. If poverty were the principal cause of crime, we would expect Asian rates to be as high, if not higher, than those of blacks.

Asians in NYC have a higher poverty rate than blacks and they are not killing each other

Most of the shootings and killings in cities like Boston, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc. are due to gangs. Gangs are a thing in the Ghettos across America.

It is like the Hatfields and McCoys where most of the shootings and killings are retaliations, where one gang member kills one of the other gang members, and is retaliated the same day by the gang member's gang that was shot hours before.

Gun lords will bring guns into these cities and sell them on the BLACK market- no pun intended.

It is really a poverty problem and a gun problem.

Fortunately for me, I was raised in an area that has no gangs. But boys growing up in Ghettos where gangs are prevalent, you either join a gang or take your chances as a loner. And if you don't have a gun, you have no protection. So all the gangbangers have guns! Mostly illegally sold to them.

I am not trying to excuse anyone, just pointing out what it is like growing up in the Ghetto!

Many of these killings happen in drive by's! But again guns are the problem! Never heard of a drive-by knife throwing contest!
