Dear Mr. Boehner; with all due respect, please tell me how you can expect to win any election by ranting at your base?

Do not fall for the Washington group think and lamestream media talking point that suggests that in order for Republicans to win, they have to be more like Democrats. Nothing could be further from the truth and if you fall for it, expect to find yourself in a desperate political fight when election time comes again.

You cannot win without your base and you WILL not win elections by becoming Democrat "light." The reason for losses in the past was not that you were too conservative, but that you were NOT as advertised.

Conservatives want to know that their representatives are going to stop the criminally irresponsible level of spending that the current Federal Goverment is engaged in. If you are not up to it, let someone else have the job who is.

They want to see REAL reform reducing the span and scope of Government intrusion into every facet of their lives and do not want to see you just "get along" with Liberals.

Trust me when I type this; you did not earn any points with your base yesterday and may have further eroded any support Conservatives may have given you. If you cannot do the job you were sent to do, please do everyone a favor and step down so that someone who IS a Conservative and who will respect the base can do the job necessary.

If we become a party that is only concerned about winning without principles, then we become what the Democrats already are; an unprincipled repugnant party lacking in decency with a "do anything to get elected" mentality trying to be everything to everyone while doing absolutely nothing for anyone.

Thank you sir and have a nice day!

Boehner understands that the true "base" that all American politicians need to appease is the middle of the bell curve. THAT group elects every politician in a national election. Boehner is safe in his district, and knows that the GOP needs to move to the center to capture that real base if they are ever to succeed in being anything other than a regional power.

The Tea Party is not his base. They are an extreme conservative fringe element of traitorous Americans who act like spoiled children and should be treated as such.

That only applies to Presidential politics.

THAT group elects every politician in a national election.

There is nothing to support that claim. But I am all eyes to see your data.

Boehner is safe in his district, and knows that the GOP needs to move to the center to capture that real base if they are ever to succeed in being anything other than a regional power.

The GOP cannot move to the left to be Democrat "light." If the base sees no difference between the parties, as evidenced by posters here daily, then there is no purpose for a GOP.

I am amused that you think the Demcoratic Party is "centrist" however.

The Tea Party is not his base.

Do you have any data supporting this claim? Do you have anything that suggests that it is JUST the Tea Party that disagrees with him? Do you ever have anything beyond your tired leftist prattle?

They are an extreme conservative fringe element of traitorous Americans who act like spoiled children and should be treated as such.

I am amused by the tired leftist meme that portrays a group who believes that they are Taxed Enough Already is an extremist fringe element or traitors. When you prattle off ignorant like this, one wonders if you live in a parallel universe, or are just patently stupid.

Or perhaps you are a hyper partisan dimwit unconcerned about things like the truth, reality or facts?

But giving you the benefit of the doubt for being a thread troll who prefers to spam threads with incoherent nonsense, why don't you elaborate on what is extremist about Tea Party positions bordering on traitorous? It would be at least fascinating from an entertainment standpoint and a test to see if you can actually think for yourself, or merely parrot idiot leftist talking points like a trained circus monkey.

By the way, no one acts more like a spoiled child than dimwitted Democrats and Obama.

Naturally, we always see Obama, Reid, and Pelosi lashing out at the liberal base that has put them into power over the years. Why, it just happened last... wait a minute, it NEVER happened.

enjoy that last mouthful of tar

What I enjoy most is your continued effort to remove all doubt that you're a lunatic and the perfect poster child for the low information voting sheeple who helped elect the most inexperienced inept dimwit in the history of the office.

The inconvenient truth they desperately seek to avoid is the fact that their party is an unprincipled repugnant ideological party that believes in win at any cost style of politics trying to be everything to everyone.

my point is proven. The GOP has no desire to seek compromise and come to consensus on the issues that face our nation. It's their way or the highway and the middle of the bell curve WILL punish them for this extremist position over and over agin.

That's an amazingly false claim after Paul Ryan and his Democrat counterpart recent compromise on budget spending. It is stunning based on the fact that during the Government shutdown Obama indicated that he would NOT compromise.

You have difficulty dealing with reality don't you?

Does it bother you that Obama’s rhetoric about the havoc shutting down the Government would have on the economy never materialized meaning he LIED for political purposes again?

The issue boils down to more spending vs. less spending.

There's never less spending.

There's always more spending.

How can it be said the GOP refuses to compromise? That's all we ever do.

The problem is a lot of Republicans are ok with more spending. They may pay lip service to reducing government but are fine spending all they can if it keeps them in office.

thie shitstorm that Ryan has unleashed within your party is proof that the GOP is certainly not of one mind when it comes to compromise. Teabaggers are known for their abhorrence of it.

everybody must compromise... at each and every step of the way. NObody gets to get everything that they want.

...and they are the ones finding themselves in a battle for their political lives with "tea party" type candidates. You won't find this on the Democratic Party side of the aisle; they are more interested in obtaining and holding political power than they are doing what is best for this nation's citizens. And, they rely on low information voting sheeple to keep them there through promises of more spending and more programs.

Yet it was Obama who stated he would not compromise; you're hyper partisan prattle suggest irony, hypocrisy or ignorance.

Only if you are satisfied with nothing; but again, it was your guy who stated he will not compromise. His idea of compromise is when the minority agrees with him. Ironic don't you think?
