The House has passed Republican legislation to renew an anti-domestic violence law in May of 2012.
The Republican vote to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act for five years came after a debate over whether the House GOP bill would better protect women from violence and sexual assault than a Senate version.
The Senate would not agree to it....1994 law has been renewed twice with wide bipartisan agreement before.
The Senate made changes to breed election year gender controversy for political gain as usual....
Political points are more important to Dems than the protection the bill provides....
