Tabasco, did you read the article? It's a parliamentary procedure. They bring it up in way so that if you vote for one, you also vote for the other. This is up front and obvious to all people voting on the floor. It is just the quickest way to get through with things. And what if the Republicans pulled something devious, like passing one without the other, rendering both useless? They need to be passed as a package.
 
I'm still not confinced dems have the spine to pass it. Hopefully Nancy will plant her foot squarely in Ried ass to get him to drop his crying towel and get it done.

we don't need healthcare to get, at a minimum, medical marijuana passed. if you think obama is going to campaign for it like h/c, you're deluded by too much of your weed (you do partake, i don't believe yoiu). obama hired an ex bush goon, heavily opposed to even the testing of mj for medical purposes, to head the DEA....

trust me, obama could win every thing he has ever wanted and he will still not push for the legalization of marijuana...

I didn't say he'd campaign for it, I know he won't as he's a democrat male and therefore a douchebag and spineless jellyfish.
That said, we have much more important issues to deal with. 2 FUCKING WARS, a sputtering economy yada yada. We waisted to much legislative time on this horeshit bill allready. Time to move on
