House may consider expelling Santos and censuring Tlaib, Greene

The House of Representatives will convene at 12pm eastern time today and potentially takes votes on three resolutions that underscore the bitterness coursing through Congress’s lower chamber. The first is to expel George Santos, the freshman lawmaker who admitted to lying about most of his resume and now faces federal charges. The resolution, backed by some fellow New York Republicans who occupy vulnerable seats, needs the support of two-thirds of the chamber to pass. It’s unclear if they have that margin, but the issue is likely to split Republicans, who control the House by a mere four seats and therefore cannot afford to lose Santos’s vote.

Anyone who will not condemn the Hamas slaughter of Israelis should resign or be removed.

Generally when a member leaves abruptly, doesn't the governor of their state appoint someone to take their place until an election can be held? And isn't the appointee usually of the same party as the dearly departed?

You are a racist asshole.

I was at my bank today waiting in a short queue. There was just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady, who was trying to exchange yen for dollars. It was obvious she was a little irritated. She asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla of yen. Today I only get hunat eighty? Why it change?" The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations." The Asian lady says, "Fluc you white people too!"

The Repugnants have been considering possibly maybe but not sure but thinking about it or claiming they're thinking about possibly maybe expelling Santos for what seems like a good year or so.

But the thought of possibly losing a Repugnant seat and a reliable Repugnant vote probably trumps any wispy little hint of integrity they might have tried to feign.

The New York delegation of Republicans does not want Santos in the House.

Mike Johnson is such a clear example of the hypocrisy we hear from political Christians.

Outlaw abortions and homosexuality, but when it comes to a proven liar like Santos (and a reminder - lying is a sin), we've gotta let that one play out. It's a thin majority in the House, after all.
