New York House Republicans believe they are close to securing the two-thirds majority required to expel their fellow Republican George Santos who has pled not guilty to over a dozen fraud-related counts.

“I think we’re getting two-thirds. There seems to be a good sentiment out there that enough is enough,” CNN reports Nick LaLota, who represents New York’s first district, saying.

He's a rep from a red district in a blue state who told a bunch of innocuous lies and was involved in a lot of nickel and dime corruption.
In other words, he's one pretty irrelevant Portuguese-American asshole.

I'll believe it when I see it. They cannot afford to lose one seat.

A special election will guarantee a Dem win, as he pulled off an upset in a Blue district by lying about...everything.

Turnout was big for this election due to a close governor's race. The Right Wing loons came out in the hopes of ousting Hochul.

NY had illegal districts imposed by an out of state special master. Those districts are now being changed and in November next year will better reflect the will of the voters.

It returns the seat to Dems. No matter what happens to the pudgy little liar

Santos is an embarrassment to the GOP. They are wise to eject him. VP Agnew was forced to resign for much less.

Yeah, that was stupid. The Dems came out in force saying Menendez should resign. You spend no effort to tell the truth. They have no power to kick him out. The courts will do the job.

30% of the House GOP is an embarrassment. They all did the same exact thing as Santos. Lied to get elected.

But he took it to an art form. I think his 'Jew-ish' back pedal was classic.

McCarthy refused to dump him. You think Christy McChrister will be any different?
