Hopey Changie!

Nobody else said it was a "powerfully good" indicator except for Y-O-U.

It is, however, a MODERATELY POSITIVE change in the economy...can't you even give the man that much credit?
Just stop. It's what Jarod is using as his indicator that the economy is going great and hopey-changey is working for him. So go sit in the corner and watch the adults speak.

I think I made it clear in my post using an explanation even you could understand why losing "less jobs" isn't much of an indicator of good things.

I never said the economy is going great.

I'm on the verge of losing it. Just over a year since I was "laid off" from my job of 25 years. Still looking.

no good, ive been here 12 years, and i am greatful. But that could change real quick if thing dont pick up soon.... good luck!

No, it didn't. Some people dropped off unemployment roles as they stopped searching and couldn't continue benefits.

It was the smallest loss since the beginning of the Great Recession (11,000 Jobs were lost)...

You are making the mistake that many make, you believe that unemployment rate means we gained jobs. But you are wrong.

it was vary clear.

awesome, onceler finally admits i can hold obama responsible as the buck stops with him....

about time you obsessive obama apologist....

IF the stimulus works, obama will get credit, he was the main proponent of it, i have never said otherwise. in fact, i have repeatedly told you he has owned the economy since the stimulus bill....he took that bill and did everything in his power to get it passed....

IF it doesn't work, i have no doubt you will be the first to still blame bush and give obama credit that it wasn't worse

You're such a 3rd grader. Actually, that's probably giving you too much credit.

The buck stops with Obama, but I clarified that it's important to be intellectually honest about that. You are not; you are a knee-jerker, and a cherrypicker.

I don't think you understand the concept of intellectual honesty.

I see a net increase.... in nonfarm payroll! That means an increase in jobs...
You are wrong. 11,000 jobs were lost in 2009, I've already posted the report.

Just an FYI, in December of 2009 it was revised to 150,000 lost in December (revised sharply from 85,000 on the original report) In January they reported 50,000 jobs lost (as you previously listed). I believe that the trend of job losses will continue specifically because some companies have stated that they will lay off more workers.

And Ive posted a link that says an increase.

you should really stop projecting and just discuss issues like the rest of us grown ups.

thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

Looking at the trend, do you believe they will?

Jarhead, the "trend" has been LOSS of jobs! We've not GAINED jobs in many a moon! You have to go back to the early Bush years, and then you claimed those jobs were lower paying menial jobs that didn't mean anything in the worst economy since Hoover!

If we DO happen to gain a few jobs next quarter, does that mean the economy has turned around and everything is lovely? Hell no! It's like Damo said, corporations have cut to the bone now, so adding back a few key jobs is likely to happen eventually, regardless of where the economy is going. It doesn't MEAN anything at this point, we are Millions and Millions of jobs in the HOLE!

Where are all of these NEW JOBS Obama promised when elected? They're certainly not here! We continue to LOSE jobs! The Ever-transparent Obama Administration tried to pump out a bunch of hyped up phony numbers on "jobs created or saved" but it was exposed for the fraud it was early on, and since then, they've really not said a lot on jobs. Now that healthcare is dead, and cap&trade is not popular, they claim to be "re-focusing" on jobs, and Harry Reid is supposedly concocting the latest Government Salvation for us, a so-called "jobs" bill, which will undoubtedly be full of pork for all!

Meanwhile, you'll recall that $785 Billion Stimulus Bill they told us we absolutely had to have in order to save us from certain financial collapse? Well, turns out, only about 30% of it has been spent! That's how "crucial and vital" it was, and why it needed to be done immediately! Now what do you all suppose will happen with the rest of that money? If I didn't know Democrats were such honest and decent people, I would think they might use it as their own political slush fund, to ensure they get re-elected in 2010 and 2012. And it will work with pinhead nitwits like Jarhead, who buy into the smoke and mirrors!

"Well, turns out, only about 30% of it has been spent! That's how "crucial and vital" it was"

Why is there such a fundamental misunderstanding about this? Did you even read about the stimulus while they were debating it?

This is a plan for LONG-TERM growth. No one said, or even recommended, that they spend just under a trillion in a few short months "just to get it out there."

The admin has acknowledged that the pace was slow through this past summer, because they were erring on the side of preventing waste, but the money is being spent at a good clip now, and again...is part of a MULTI-YEAR plan.

What you imply would make no sense economically, and would have led to much more waste....

And Ive posted a link that says an increase.
I posted a link with a story and a link to the actual report. You posted a link to unemployment figures, which I promptly explained to you were not indicative of jobs increases. Especially considering jobs were lost.

Jarod, no matter how much you spin it there has been nothing but losses for the last three months, just like the months that preceded them.

Dixie, you are hopeless, your basic lack of understanding about reality makes constantly pointing it out exausting. I give up on you.

First off, how's about you try and be honest about what Jarod said in his OP?

You can't even do that.

Next, you do realize there's a difference between claiming people losing jobs "isn't much of an indicator of good things" and claiming "Less people losing their jobs is not an indicator of a powerfully good change in the economy."

You can't even be honest when quoting yourself.

On a positive note, you've got the smarmy condecension thing down pat...good job!:good4u:
