The benefits of home schooling depends on the situation.
For me it would've been bad. My mother, god rest her soul, would've like to have raised a Little Lord Fautleroy I'm afraid. I needed the socialization.
If the school has really bad influences and the parent / educator is capable of also raising a well rounded spirituality adjusted kid that gets out does sports, learns music, etc. then go for it.

We had to follow a curriculum when we home schooled. It all turned out fine. They got a better education from my wife than they ever could have gotten from the public school minus the indoctrination.
That is the real reason lefties oppose home schooling. They fear access to indoctrinate.

No child that was schooled by an empty headed turd like you or any dumb cow that would be trashy enough to marry you, could have gotten anything remotely resembling a decent education.
Poor kids are probably doomed to a life of back breaking common labor. No wonder you hate Mexican immigrants coming here to work in the fields picking produce... they're taking jobs away from your stupid, home-schooled kids.
Regarding your moronic blubbering about school choice, charter schools often times turn out to be worse than the failing schools they're offering a supposed alternative to. There have been more than a few cases of them just going out of business and closing down. Plus, even though they're privately owned by for-profit corporations, they get public funding that is taken away from public schools that need it.
And as for indoctrination, religious schools are at the top of the heap in the realm of indoctrination and brainwashing their students.
So don't even presume to think you understand anything about the reasons why I oppose what you falsely refer to as "school choice". You are way too simple to understand complex reasoning or anything that wasn't drooled out of the mouth of some right-wing, knuckle dragging ape like Rush Limbo or Sean Insannity.

Dunheap is entitled to his opinion, a bitch is a term meaning a female dog, I use it to offend people. I know a lot of females who use the term. There are just some people who are dogs.
I am more concerned with unequal pay and men deciding what a women can do with their bodies.
