One of the few good things Abbott passed was making attacking anyone over 65, regardless of the attacker's age, a hate crime. Automatic 5 years. A good reason to shout out "I'm over 65! I'm over 65" (or actual age) if a MAGAt attacks you.

This is pretty much the same thing that guy that just got fired form MSDNC said. Blaming the victim in an act of violence is shameful. This is the same kind of crap as "she shouldn't have worn that short skirt in THAT part of town" nonsense. No. Folks should not resort to violence because of something that was said. He spent time being respectful, listening to what they said, and making sure they had time and the audience let them speak. He clearly stated that if we want to end the violence and divisiveness the best way to do it is for those who disagree to have a dialogue rather than a fight.
I get that you do not like his opinions, but assuming he preached hate and violence simply because you didn't like his opinion just shows you didn't know what he was about.
