Highest COVID, Lowest Vax States Are All Republican

Hello memorygal,

Since I have addressed you directly and asked point-blank questions which you have failed to respond to, I can only conclude that you are not real, but instead a software bot, likely directed from Russia, whose purpose is to do nothing more than inject nonsense and fear into America in hopes of swaying easily susceptible minds.

I ask directly: Are you a real person, a citizen of the United States of America?

Your posts do not lead me to believe so.

thata boy, make excuses for your lying

Hello Micawber,

I believe any bot worth its salt would have a canned answer for that. :)

It's possible, but it doesn't matter. It is disrespectful to enter into a conversation on the premise that it is going to be a two-way conversation, but never respond directly to fair questions. It is disrespectful to ignore valid points and only change the subject. That is not conversing. That is talking at someone. I have no patience for it. I come here to debate just plain politics. I seek worthy opponents who can create a viable counter-argument.

Goodbye memorygal, suspected Russian bot,

thata boy, make excuses for your lying

OK, that did it. I make it very clear I am not going to accept being mouthed off at.

I have attempted to respectfully debate politics, and you've done nothing but post unrelated nonsense, never once addressing any of my points. Now you've shown distinct disrespect.

You are now PERMANENTLY Ignore Listed. I'll never read another word you write, even if quoted by another, nor respond to you, nor participate in your threads.

Ignore the shallow. Cherish the thoughtful. Long Live Civil Discourse, Mutual Respect, and Good Debate!

you libs can't debate... you are to messed up in the head.

There is a reason most Trump supporters are staying away from this discussion.

They have no valid reason for what they want besides pure personal selfishness, unwarranted hatred, and fealty to one very messed up oligarch has-been loser.

There are no mutually respectful Republicans or Trump supporters who have taken part in this discussion.

And that is sad.

I began this thread hoping for civil discourse, an honest discussion about the merits of each side's position on why it is that Republican States have this tragic record of low vaccinations and high risk of spiraling COVID cases.

I have found none.

Each of these irresponsible Republican States has rejected or shown strong resistance to following the safest guidelines for navigating through this dangerous pandemic, as determined by our Truly Fabulous Federal Government, (and I do mean that - we really do have an excellent government when you look around the world and compare...) while the States that are being more successful with vaccinations and having far fewer cases are more likely to be following the sensible guidelines.

Logically, this points strongly to a correlation. ie: The Guidelines Work.

It is wise to follow them and unwise to reject them. Rejecting guidelines results in more death and the pandemic getting worse. America needs to unite against COVID to avoid that. COVID is our enemy, not one another. We need to stand together for safe conditions in our country for us to live and enjoy our lives. We each need to do our part to help one another achieve this mutual goal together. We can get on top of this pandemic with logical scientific guidelines, smart testing and quarantine policies, if everyone gets these effective vaccines, and everyone follows the CDC guidelines the best that they can.

That's just a fact.

If everyone did it, the beast would be gone.

Whatever reservations people may have about unknown possible future side effects, and it is understandable that people would have these reservations, they need to remember there are other considerations besides what might happen to an individual who goes ahead and gets the vaccine. We have to think about what happens to other people. We are not alone in this. We face it together. We must think about others as well as ourselves.

The implications of what would happen if everyone refused the vaccine are dire. It is a good thing that so many people have already gotten the vaccine. That really had the bug on the run in the spring. But the bug is not so easily conquered. It came back with a new weapon. So,,, Do we want to just pretend it's not happening, be free to 'make our own choices,' or do we want to fight back? That's the question we all need to ask ourselves. People who get the vaccine, and who observe the guidelines, are fighting back.

We need you to join us. Seriously. We do. Everyone. You.

That is what we are asking for.

We took the risk. We got the jab. No problems with it. It's fine.

We are keeping our distance, wearing masks, willing to prove we are vaccinated.

If everyone simply recognized the need, answered the responsibility, answered the desperate calling of a hurting nation for patriots to do their part, no new rules would be needed.

Why is their such resistance / selfishness / hatred of government? Logically, it makes no sense. This is our government people. It is what binds us all together. We don't want to do anything to hurt you or take away your freedom. We want to be united as citizens of the United States in our COVID response. We should be able to do this. It is wrong that we can't do this. Our nation is messed up and it is not Democrats or Independents doing it. We want a united sensible response that we do together.

We are asking that we work together and be functional on this mutual threat. This should not be political.

Trump Supporters and Republicans do not seem to be able to even conduct a mutually respectful conversation about this, focusing on the merits of each side's argument, without being disrespectful.

When an individual is reminded of something they are trying to deny or forget, something they don't want to admit, it can make them angry at the person who brought it up. That is very common.

Problems are not solved, differences are not resolved, rational discussion is not possible when participants in a discussion are consumed with anger/hatred for other participants.

Please, fellow Americans. Get over it. Drop the useless anger. Drop the pointless hatred. It's time to act together.

We Americans are all on the same side. Humans are all on the same side. We have to have mutual respect for our neighbors, fellow members of our community, nation and world. And if you just forget politics, that exists all over the world. People everywhere are basically friendly and happy to meet new faces whether they are, even from their own country or not. It's a natural human instinct to group together, to enjoy sharing time together with smiling faces.

Rumors cause the anger. Don't listen to them! We all want the same thing. A good life, as much freedom as possible, the chance to improve our lot, and the concern that our children and our grandchildren and posterity have it at least as good as we did or better.

Let us have those things which we all want for ourselves, those things we share in common.

Get with America on COVID!

The OP still holds true.

Low vax states are where the hospitals are running out of ICU beds.

Get vaccinated now.

Funny Thing About That, eh?

A State for State match.

The lowest vaccination rates produce the highest risk of disease transmission.

total horseshit. In Louisiana the biggest voting block is in Orleans parish which is 70% black democrats and that parish has the lowest vax rates in the state. These political generalizations are nothing but lying propaganda. GFY

Actually Commiefornia has the highest because of all the illegals....

Several also have the distinction of being the highest obesity, least productive and poorest in education, states. A real credit to conservatism.

Here's a real-time map that you can click on to see different aspects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Johns Hopkins Active COVID Map

There is a bar at the bottom of the map that says "Confirmed by Pop"

Click the arrow to the right of that to scroll through several options of what you're viewing.

7 clicks should take you to the ICU capacity map.

It will say "ICU Occ."

There is a + / - button to zoom in.

You can see ICUs are over 95% full in :

Florida
Louisiana
Arkansas
Mississippi
Alabama

Does that list look a little familiar?

Those are the States with the lowest vaccination rates.

Cambodia, Mongolia, Dominican Republic are doing a better job of innoculating their citizens against the deadliest pandemic in a century, than many Republican-led states.

Time and again studies confirm that liberals are more fit, sexual, strong, driven, intellectual and have more fun. We are the beer drinkers and hell raisers.
Republicans are squat flat featured dullard gremlins with sunken cheeks, beady dead set eyes, an with the stature, supinated gait and proportions of chimpanzees.
