Because crony capitalists within the GOP have done way more damage to free market arguments than the Democrats. They don't care about government interference they just want it directed to benefit their friends. You can't argue for free markets with these people on your side.

You apparently misread. Crony capitalist within the GOP claiming to support free markets do more damage than Democrats who attack free markets. In the same way Obama has done more damage to civil liberties than Cheney did supporting waterboarding. I prefer an honest enemy to a false friend. That does not mean you have to agree with me on every point for us to join in common cause but to hell with the people like ditzy or ila who claim to agree with libertarianism and free markets, knowing that they don't.
