Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) intends to introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump on Thursday as the new session of Congress convenes.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Sherman's measure will accuse Trump of obstruction of justice in the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, among other things.

"There is no reason it shouldn’t be before the Congress,” Sherman told the news outlet. “Every day, Donald Trump shows that leaving the White House would be good for our country.”

“Every member of the House will have to address [the issue] whether there are formal articles of impeachment pending,” Sherman told The Times.

...and so it begins !!

The republican party shunned its constitutional instructions to protect the people

Introduction of articles of impeachment happen more often than you think. They need enough support to come to a vote before I would get too excited.
During the presidency of George W. Bush, several American politicians sought to either investigate Bush for possibly impeachable offenses, or to bring actual impeachment charges on the floor of the United States House of Representatives Judiciary Committee. The most significant of these efforts occurred on June 10, 2008, when Congressman Dennis Kucinich, along with co-sponsor Robert Wexler, introduced 35 articles of impeachment[1] against Bush to the U.S. House of Representatives.[2] The House voted 251 to 166 to refer the impeachment resolution to the Judiciary Committee on June 11, where no further action was taken on it
