In a perfect world, but Iran is controlled by fundamentalists who fundamentally hate: a) Jews and b) the US.

I have clients that are both pre-shah Iranian. I've discussed the situation with "Mike", and he'd love to go back and do some business with his old contacts. He left Tehran just before they took over the embassy, used to walk past it on his way to work, and saw the whole thing building up before he bought a ticket out of there. He describes the guys who did it as "crazy". Both these guys are straight-up capitalists who don't give a dam about historical hatred.
