Your response is just a nirvana fallacy using misleading vividness. Churches rarely are charged with tax evasion and if they are it is after the fact as their evasion cannot be detected or predicted before it happens.

With pseudopheds, when a customer comes into a store and buys the entirety of that store's supply, then proceeds to do this several more times at other stores, there is a very strong possibility they aren't dealing with a cold, but rather making meth using a well-know method of doing that. Thus, their criminal intent is obvious in their actions. The result has been that most states now limit sales, often lock up pseudopheds, and in some cases require you register your purchase to track if you are making multiple ones to evade the restrictions on quantity imposed.

So you can collect a list for cold medicine but not guns.

How many totally innocents die from guns, at least those dying from meth took the risk themselves.
 
We're way beyond where we can be surprised by any fucking thing that happens in a red state.

The blue states are fucked up enough in our own right, but at least we're not quite beyond hope yet.

I was the same when I lived in WA. Some decongestants were used as part of the recipe for meth. There was also a limit for how much one could buy at a time.
