Dung claims that he agrees with Helen. She said that Town Halls had never been so controlled. Then Dung also said that Town Hall's have always been controlled..for partisans like Dung 2+2= anything but 4 if it has to do with his partisan positions.
I know little about Helen Thomas on a personal level. I have rarely paid attention to her questions during WH press briefings. I googled her and saw that her most noteworthy to date personal interest has been O'Reilly saying she sounded like the wicked witch of the east...BFD!
Helen Thomas is correct when she says that Town Hall's are not supposed to be controlled questions...the left can suck on that!

Helen Thomas was right when she said NO ONE HAD EVER CONTROLLED Town Halls...I think "no one" would include Bush. Show me a particular Town Hall Bush controlled.

The idea that Bush never controlled Town Hall meeting is hilarious. They were all scripted, almost every single one. The Bush White House did the events in Republican strongholds, issued tickets only to supporters and prescreened the questions.
This is something Obama had resisted thus far, that's why it's such a big deal that he is (wrongly) doing it now.
And this stuff isn't even debatable.

Actually, what you are discovering is the difference between Dem/Liberals and GOP/RW hacks. We have no Supreme Leader to march us in jack-booted lockstep through every opinion. One need only follow Congressional voting records to decide which party has freedom to choose as compared to which is composed of duped lemmings rushing dutifully, as one, on the way to the sea. The Dems/Liberals like it that way, your guys wouldn't know how to handle it.

AP: Woman Obama Hugged at Town Hall Was His Volunteer

The AP is reporting that Debby Smith, the woman who President Obama hugged during yesterday's town hall meeting and promised to help after she described her difficulties getting treatment for a tumor, "is a volunteer for Organizing for America, Obama's political operation within the Democratic National Committee" who "obtained her ticket through the White House."
One can only imagine what the press would have to say if the Bush White House had done something as cynical.
To sum up, during the session, Obama received questions from an advocate of a socialized, or single-payer health care, a representative of the liberal activist group Health Care for Americans Now, a member of the Service Employees International Union who asked what she could do to help, and one of his own volunteers.
