The Supreme Court repudiation of President Donald Trump’s desperate bid for a second term not only shredded his effort to overturn the will of voters: It also was a blunt rebuke to Republican leaders in Congress and the states that were willing to damage American democracy by embracing a partisan power grab over a free and fair election.

The court’s decision on Friday night, an inflection point after weeks of legal flailing by Trump and ahead of the Electoral College vote for President-elect Joe Biden on Monday, leaves the president’s party in an extraordinary position. Through their explicit endorsements or complicity of silence, much of the GOP leadership now shares responsibility for the quixotic attempt to ignore the nation’s founding principles and engineer a different verdict from the one voters cast in November.

Maybe you should read articles before posting them. This is the only reference in the entire article to Stalin:

It makes no connection for Trump to Stalin as a caricature or in any other way. It doesn't even make a connection between the dictator and the GOP. The reference is passing at best.

Attempting to overturn an election and thwart the will of the voters is exactly the kind of thing communists and fascists do.
 
I think trump is going to fix this problem in the gop.......

They failed to betray the country as he demanded so he is going to start his own party, his own network & steal as many of their members as he can...........

So while the GOP will have the trash thrown out, they will lose #'s until trump implodes or jailed & they come crawling back......

It's just a reference to Trump acting like a typical dictator. Stalin also overturned elections and encouraged terrorism, like Trump.

Stalin has been dead for 100 years at least and tRump's repuke party has recently died at being a un American disgrace and a liability upon the civilized nature of humanity on Earth, and despite a few blue dog ankle biters that need for their tails to get bobbed.

And is what the Democrats are trying to do.

Fake ballots are not an election. Fake ballots are not voters. Fake ballots are not the will of the people. It is Democrats using fake ballots. It is Democrats trying to implement fascism by oligarchy.

Communists, fascists, Republicans have all engaged in attempts to invalidate the results of elections and thwart the will of the people.

Joe Biden won this election convincingly and overwhelmingly. Your and Trump's attempt to overturn and invalidate an election puts you squarely in a league with Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Adolph Hitler, and the Bolsheviks.

Pro-democracy forces in this country - like the federal courts - have thwarted TrumpCo.'s attempted coup d'etat.

If this election taught us anything, it is that a thin wall separates our democracy from fascism.

You have had more than enough time to present your evidence of massive vote fraud to judges across the land, and have been laughed out of court 50plus times.

False claims of massive vote fraud was always a thinly veiled attempt to justify a coup d'tat.

It is exactly the kind of strategy and mentality Vladimir Lenin and Stalin used to invalidate the results of an election result they did not like.

biden way underperformed everywhere/all demographics (except white women) in key swing state key counties.

This is not a legitimate use of the courts.

How do I know?

TrumpCo. has been laughed out of every court across the land 50plus times in four weeks. That has to be a world record.

More importantly, you did not just limit your coup d'tat to the courts. Your Orange God openly harassed partisan governors and partisan state legislators to overturn the will of the voters.

You and Trump think exactly like Josef Stalin, with respect to your desire to invalidate an election that was convincingly won by your opponent.
