Trump put people in positions based on loyalty, not competence and suitability. Plenty of people objected to Hegseth because he lacked a background suitable for the Defense Department. Now he is blustering like Trump is in the White House. Hegseth has proven his critics were correct. The Military leaders are experienced and qualified. Of course, Hegseth is at odds with them.
