Heck with the brain tumors - you must watch this

Seriously. If your cell phone was microwaving your brain you'd be dead, you wouldn't die slowly of cancer.

It's not true. You don't have to be an electrical engineer to know that even if a cell phone was purposely built to make popcorn, it wouldn't have enough amperage in its tiny battery to accomplish it. It takes my 1000 watt microwave about thirty seconds to do that.

Kewl. Some people have too much time on their hands.

There is the mass issue though, more power and more time for more popcorn.

Great demonstration of the anti-science left. This was a commercial for hands free set. It was meant as a joke, but was quickly pulled once they realized dumbasses were not getting it. Check snopes.

Great demonstration of the anti-science left.

I hope you are referring to the anti-science left and not calling the left in general anti-science. It would be silly to call the only pro-science part of American society "anti-science" just because some of its (more unsavory) members delve off into pseudoscience like cellphone cancer.

Anti-science on the left is significant. Dems a pro-science party??? No.

If you are only counting the Dems and Repubs, probably.

Well I'm using the rather limited political tool of left-right as well, but that's just the categories most people fit into. No political categorization is perfect, but the brevity with which I can use simply "left" and "right" without having to get into a political science discussion is worth it sometimes.

I haven't addressed your point.

Whatever.

It definitely is detrimental to the integrity of science. It clearly politicizes it.

I agree that science should not be politicized, but I disagree that public funding necessarily has to lead to politicization.

Wow, you are still lost in dumb cliches and stupid comments. Thought maybe time taught but guess I was wrong.

it is not the amount of radiation, but the use over time...sort of like slow poison...

living life one neuron at a time...

Anti-science everywhere is significant. However, I believe that the left is in general the most pro-science portion of the political system. Do you disagree?

Ah, I get it. Funding science is anti-science!

Watermark, the New Left has become the most anti-technology establishment since the Medieval Church. At least neocons and libertarians love their technology passionately. We paleocons are still somewhere on the 17th hole, discussing this whole debate about the phenomenon that is technology, but I can tell you we don't denigrate it anywhere near the extent that neoliberals do!
