This isn't even a difficult topic! It's basic fucking human empathy.

The man has experienced loss. Hey, that's sad. Let's take it in the feels for four seconds and get on with OUR lives. But morons have to make it some political stage, or just be general twats about it.

Also, I think that your kind of liberals are part of the problem in our fight against the rabid right. This knee-jerk tendency to always want to "play nice" and be reasonable, under the mistaken notion that putting forth a good example will be proof of the higher level of your ideals, while their side lies, throws bombs and never gives an inch, will never advance the cause of the left.

It will do nothing but tattoo a giant CHUMP stamp across the foreheads of those who fall into that trap.

In this thread, I just see a lot of phony feel good and fake sympathy.

I can think of one that got away..but to lose a life partner is really sad.

Kobie, Tom’s not nearly what desh is making him out to be. He and I disagree on things (sometimes quite a few) from time to time but you and I will too. The difference is the degree of civility shown. Tom bites back and some don’t like it.
