What’s ahead

The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s federal election obstruction case in D.C. is holding a hearing Monday morning on whether she should issue a gag order that would restrict what Trump can say about the case.

Prosecutors requested the gag. They worry that the former president’s inflammatory comments could prejudice potential jurors or intimidate witnesses.
On the other side, Trump’s team has argued that a gag order would violate his constitutional rights to freedom of speech, particularly as he is again running for president.
Judge Tanya S. Chutkan could rule from the bench on Monday — or issue a written decision later.

These fuckers actually are not aware that the world loses more respect for us by the day, and that our future is brutal.

It's incredible that gag orders are even being considered. Trump has an absolute right to give his side of the story. Will trump's comments influence the potential jurors as the prosecutor is claiming? Of course they will - that's the idea and there is nothing wrong with that.
