Excess mortality is a commonly used statistical tool used by epidemiologists, moron. What the excess deaths shows, if you had bothered to read any of the articles, you fucking moron, is that the number of deaths attributed to COVID is low.
The data also shows that the excess mortality for any given time period also closely follows the surge in COVID cases.

There were not more deaths than should have occurred there were more deaths then the model predicted for meaning that tool is faulty.
