Profit driven health insurance has no business being in healthcare. The govt. has not 'produced' healthcare.
Why is profit bad in healthcare? Explain?
Profit driven health insurance has no business being in healthcare. The govt. has not 'produced' healthcare.
Thinly veiled justification for the kind of right-wing greed that puts money not only above human misery and suffering, but above the misery and suffering of their fellow countrymen, women and children.
And the dumbest part of the rights position is that, insurance or not, eventually sick people will need to seek treatment. But because they lack insurance due to the unGodly expense, they'll wait until their illness gets so bad they have no choice but to go to ER's where treatment cannot be refused, and where the now, much more expensive bill they cannot afford to pay, will be passed on to the taxpayer anyway.
Too bad right-wing hatred, resentment and greed is too shortsighted to grasp that.
But then again, I guess the logical extension of your position is to get the laws to where even ER's can refuse treatment based on ability to pay and poor sick people would be told to go somewhere and die.
That's what you really want isn't it, right wing scum?
Profit driven health insurance has no business being in healthcare. The govt. has not 'produced' healthcare.
Bullshit. And it's not our responsibility to pay for your liposuction. But we do.
It's a concept called 'cost sharing', and every type of insurance relies on it.
No one does. Not my responsibility to pay for you to fuck.
Instead of taking the ludicrous stance that Republicans want to take health care away from poor people so they can give money to rich people, which is actually more stupid when you say it out loud (try it),
maybe democrats can admit Obamacare is collapsing and offer some help on the solution to rescue it from itself
Your taxes are always going to pay for health care for the poor one way or the other, no matter which party is in office.
The difference is that under Republican "health no-care" you're also going to pay higher insurance premiums on top of that, in order to compensate for all the free ER care the hospitals are forced to give away because of Republicans' need to satisfy their greedy, hateful, resentful base.
As I said in an earlier post, the right won't be happy until ER's are legally allowed to refuse treatment on the basis lack of ability to pay.
That is the "America" your side wants.
I pray you never get it.
Who do you think is paying for the billions of dollars of 'free' subsidies floating around? People already pay higher premiums and ERs give away plenty of 'free' healthcare.
Obamacare was a poorly designed plan which has gotten us to this point. The shoddily run govt being in charge of healthcare would be a death sentence for many. Hope you never get that wish.
Just repeal the rule that forces hospitals to treat patients and not be compensated.
Name one form of insurance that doesn't rely on spreading risk over the entire customer base.Bullshit.
But keep dreaming, your Commie dreams will only go downhill from here.
If you knew anything about ACA, you'd realize how stupid this post is. Fact...Republicans NEED to repeal ACA, in order to do away with a 3.8.% cap gains tax on those who earn over $200k/year via capital gains.Instead of taking the ludicrous stance that Republicans want to take health care away from poor people so they can give money to rich people, which is actually more stupid when you say it out loud (try it),

Worse yet, after decades of cost sharing where young healthy people pay into a system at a lower rate, but higher than their risk, Republicans want to charge people over 50 ten times more than younger people.Your taxes are always going to pay for health care for the poor one way or the other, no matter which party is in office.

Actually, I've called for a repeal of EMTALA instead of a mandate. That way, people would be more apt to purchase insurance if they know they cannot receive free care at a hospital.Just like I said earlier.
Putting money ahead of human life.
Pure right-wing scum.

Now tell us who earns more than $200k/year via cap gains?

Raygun's EMTALA opened the door to what we now recognize as gross abuse of our hospitals.
Wrong. ACA was NOT created in a vacuum. In exchange for being forced to cover numerous preventive procedures, pre existing conditions, and kids under 27, the govt. promised insurers cost sharing money, as well as risk corridor money.Who do you think is paying for the billions of dollars of 'free' subsidies floating around? The truly poor qualify for Medicaid. It's those on the bubble who have problems, but their free hospital care jack everyone's insurance rates up. Complex issue. That would make perfect sense if there was a such thing as decent insurance that poor people could afford.
If you have no money, you can't buy insurance.
