Of Gingrich going to the NAACP and calling President Obama a “food stamp president,” Crawford says, “It’s not just a dog whistle — humans can hear that one. It’s very passive aggressive…but we know what it means.”

Bassett adds, “Racism has become so embedded in the Republican rhetoric that they don’t even consider it racism any more. They consider it the normal way things are.”

while there are racist dems, they have to stay in the closet or get bashed by the dem party, while rep racists are out in the open and the rep party does not care unless they get very overt where it can cost them votes

No one rightly knows what true and real feelings one harbors in one's heart. I suspect, to one degree or another, everyone is somewhat racist. But most decent folk have the common sense and decency to keep their true feelings hidden, if there is racism in their hearts.
Again, I ask you to provide proof of any Democrat/liberal displaying "overt racism". The evidence of Republicans/conservatives displaying "overt racism", is overwhelming.
