I'd normally agree on Biden incompetence. In this case however the incompetence was on Gov. DeWine's part. Biden's admkn offered assistance from the start and from DeWine's own admission he didn't accept it.

Of course, she cared. She is smart enough to know about projecting an image in a visual medium. This was the major lesson learned in the first televised Presidential election debate between JFK and Nixon. I call Hillary a lot of things but stupid isn't one of them. She was very smart. It was her ego which caused people to distrust her. Same for Trump...about ego, not brains. Bill wore his ego in his pants and Trump did the same, only worse. In all cases, only the fanatics stick by their saintlike hero are being pure and 100% Not Guilty.

You mention a key factor: society.

The main differences between people is cultural, not genetic. Obama is a good example; genetically, he's primarily of Euro-American descent, yet he identifies with African-American culture. Same for Colin Kaepernick; both over 50% Euro-American and raised in a highly Euro-American middle-class culture, he chooses to identify with African-American society. His right to do so.

From what I've read of the past, it seems the cities and highly cultivated areas of the US were the most racist in the 1800s while those on frontier didn't care what color a person was as long as they were shooting at the "Injuns".

Survival situations create strong bonds among those with a common goal..usually to survive. LOL

The lazy idleness of those choosing to live in a city or plantation allows people too much time to be selfish.

Agreed. The good news is that, at my advanced age, it's less "mess" and more "IDGAF". You'd be surprised how freeing having a philosophy of IDGAF can be. Obviously, there's a downside: people who support IDGAF often float from minimum wage job to minimum wage job...then whine about minimum wage. Go figure.

Well, I was liking your post till the last sentence. I doubt that plantations held much in the way of "lazy idleness." Cities back then didn't, either. Or are you talking modern times?
