Harvard To Hold Blacks-Only Graduation Ceremony

Those black people .,. who can figure them out?

Next thing you know they'll be wanting their own black beauty pageants.

Oh wait .. did we miss this part?

The students will still participate in the main commencement ceremony, too.

So the black ceremony isn't really the main graduation ceremony .. rather a gathering of graduating black students celebrating their accomplishments.

‘Congratulations. You made it. Keep going. You are now role models for other black students who can do the exact same thing.’

Hey, I wonder if they had held the ceremony .. which is all it is .. somewhere in the black community, would there be this rancor about how racist it is?

I wonder if the argument against racism is that white people can't have or attend events for themselves? Hmmm .. how about NO?

I'm applauding Mott's sensibility and common sense.

Fraternities hold separate parties and graduation ceremonies all the time .. though not always on campus.

Try the Univ. of Michigan or Cal State.

If you are of the opinion that black people holding functions for themselves is somehow racist .. :0) don't know what to tell you.

Never belonged to a fraternity, never wanted to .. but all throughout college I watched them holding separate events for themselves.

That's all this was .. a separate event for themselves.

Are you suggesting that whites don't hold separate events for themselves?

I'm suggesting fraternities, or at least the one I was in and the ones at USC, don't hold separate graduations. I asked which one you were in because maybe yours did it differently.
