april 8 2025 According to The Harvard Crimson, Harvard will offer high-school-level math courses to its students. The remedial assistance has rekindled criticism over Harvard’s move away from standardized tests in making admissions decisions.

For years, Harvard has been accused of lowering admissions standards to achieve “equity” goals in its classes. The school opposed efforts to uncover its admissions data. When that data was ultimately revealed, sharp differences emerged based on race. The differences led to the historic decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, 600 U.S. 181 (2023) barring the use of race in college admissions.

As court decisions made it clear that the period of race-based criteria was coming to an end, systems like the University of California dumped standardized testing, while others decreased the reliance on such scores. Without standardized testing as an objective measure of comparison, challenges based on race would be more difficult to establish.

Critics have raised that history in light of the recent announcement. It would have been unthinkable in prior years for Harvard to offer remedial high-school-level courses for admitted students.

Ya I saw this a few days ago....as I remember it the story is not that Harvard has just started doing remedial because they take in people who should not be there, the story us that they have massively expanded it because the program has not been working.

There is no giant conspiracy holding down blacks. They are mentally inferior and the evidence is overwhelming.

1. Black-americans come in last in all standardized tests. Asian-americans do fine on all the tests so it's not due to cultural bias in the tests.

2. Africa is by far the poorest and most backward continent on the planet. All of black africa is now controlled by blacks and has been for decades so it's not due to racism.

3. No black has ever won a Science Nobel Prize unless you count one in 1979 for the semi-science of economics. They have won many nobels in non-brain fields like Peace and also in Literature so it is not due to racism.

4. Out of 1725 chess grandmasters in the world, only THREE are black.

This isn't something new. The only change is that it has reached the highest levels of academia now. It used to be community and local colleges had such courses for those that lacked college level proficiency in math, English, or whatever. Then, that crept into state level universities and colleges both public and private. Now it has reached the ivy league schools.

What's damning here isn't that Harvard is doing this, but rather that the US public education system and K-12 education system in the US in general, is completely failing students turning out illiterates, assorted idiots, and radical political activists, all of which can barely read a news article and are unable to do even the simplest of math without the crutch of a calculator or worse, AI.

This problem isn't so much racial as it is political. The US K-12 education system has been utterly ruined by a combination of intrusive government, uncaring teachers' unions, and radical Leftist nonsense taught to "educators" at universities. When those tasked with teaching are quasi-literate, ill-informed, politically biased, and disinterested worker bees looking for nothing more than an eventual retirement check, you get students who are uneducated and radicalized.

Until 1987, India did not have a single grandmaster. The following year, Viswanathan Anand obtained the title. In 2000 he got the FIDE world title, and in 2007 the undisputed world title. The result? India today has 64 grandmasters and taking the average rating of the top 10 in each country, it ranks 4th globally.
