During the network’s coverage of Donald Trump’s Indiana primary victory speech, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was caught on a live microphone commenting on the appearance of Melania Trump, the Republican nominee’s wife.

“Did you see her walk? Runway walk. My God is that good,” Matthews said.

It appeared that the 70-year-old “Hardball” host wasn’t aware his comments were being broadcast. “I could watch that runway show,” he added.

Now THIS is what I would classify as "pc." Are people not allowed to comment on the opposite sex being attractive anymore?

I was surprised that this was any kind of story.

you don't find objectification of women to be sexist?? PC is mindless banning of words -or reducing terminology down to it's blandist
pablum -destroying the rich vocabulary of the English language..

compared to broadcasting this at work! ??

It's pc. I don't look forward to the day when we can't privately comment on someone's attractiveness (obviously, this turned out to be not so private, but that was inadvertant)...

private comments are one thing, but not in a workplace setting.. not even with the mic off.
with your friends over a beer, or to yourself is different..

It is pure objectification at work here, she is not seen as a woman whom is Trump's wife and a possible 1st lady
if a news source is enabling/objectifying her as a sex object. This is Feminism 101, not dullard PC blandishment

I have never thought it was objectification to call someone attractive. I've heard women commentators & newcasters call guys good looking or handsome, and that's when they knew they were on the air.

It will be a strange sort of world where we can't say someone looks great anymore.

Women even talk about men's features. It becomes sexists when it is used to demean and harass a woman.

It becomes sexists when it is implied that that is the only thing that defines a person.

I find it disgusting, rude, vulgar and profane sexist behavior for me to behave that way....she must punish me!!
