The Marmot Mammoth Jacket is filled with down, has a zip-off hood and boasts lots of pockets. It's also a status symbol in New York, leading to shootings like the one in Bryant Park on Saturday.

Corey Dunton's alleged shooting spree at Bryant Park on Saturday was not the first time bullets went flying in New York because of the Marmot Mammoth coat, also known as “the Biggie.”

Raphael Ward, 16, was shot in the chest earlier this year on the Lower East Side during a scuffle with a group of teens who coveted his coat.

The 11th-grader had just bought the jacket.

Malik Jenkins, a high school senior, was struck by two cars in 2010 after a Bronx trio tried to steal his coat.

All three men were indicted in 2011 for the 18-year-old’s murder.

The coat was discontinued last year, a Paragon Sports sales rep sid.

The rest of the coats in stock went on clearance for $200, and sold out a few weeks ago, the rep said.

I don't even want to post all the Thug violence going on, there is so much. I would bet that both CoalBlack and the Poet Fool both know some thugs(Trayvonites) who gang bang? They stick together like glue, and would not turn any of their brothas in, because they are just like ObamDon'tCare for Whites. Can you believe that about 97% of them voted for Obama, that is reverse racism to the 10th degree, but of course their brothas will defend it. Gotta go, playing golf, see ya later Money. PS, I especially watch the crash and grab gangstas, we will all probably see that happen at least once in the next few years. I bet that they use their ObamaPhones to coordinate their crash strategy, like do we walk in and grab hoodlum like jackets, or run in and take everything we see, like jewelry, shoes, etc.....

I don't think so. There are regular ass beatings to consider, and hey, some citizens would be resourceful enough to at least accumulate some stuff. Seems it would be worth the time to at least assign some gang bangers to down trodden citizens.

A bright orange jacket is a status symbol??? Looks like something those guys wear that work on the freeways, so they don't get hit by cars.
