While the bigotry is true, it's pretty common to demean the enemy since it makes it easier to kill them. Most Westerners are raised to believe killing people is wrong. Solution? Don't think of them as people. Think of them as a degenerate, subhuman race. It makes shooting them in the head a lot easier. :)

Isn't that what the Palestinians think about Jews?

Those college students were the only things keeping Hamas alive you idiot. Trump convinced Hamas to release their only leverage to prevent the IDF from annihilating Hamas. If there were no hostages Israeli could flood the tunnels and flush the vermin out.

IMO, it's the Palestinians who are pissing up a rope. They should make peace and start policing themselves by getting rid of terrorists.

I probably shouldn’t admit I haven’t followed this very closely. I know there’s the broader U.S. and Trump negotiated peace plan, and then there’s the Israeli government negotiated hostage release. This thread feels like it’s mostly trolling about the hostage deal.

I get what you’re saying about how it’s being framed, but I don’t watch the nightly news so I can’t speak to that part.

These are people who pray to Allah for the privilege of dying for their cause.

Anyone who thinks the likelihood of death is a deterrent, grossly misunderstands and underestimates their enemy.

The next suicide bomber who kills dozens of Israelis in a crowded marketplace will be one of the aforementioned people.

Maybe even one of the ones released in the latest prisoner exchange.

Yep. We went with "might makes right."

Even so, their guerilla tactics were eventually successful -- along with public opinion both domestic and globally -- that drove us out of that country. I see some similarities between the North Vietnamese and the Palestinians.

True. One side of my family is German and my grandfather would speak of the nervousness he sometimes felt during the war at the mention of his very German last name. But the prejudice in these cases is of a different dimension.

Bergdahl was a Taliban prisoner because he DESERTED

According to soldiers involved in the effort to find Bergdahl, at least six soldiers from his battalion were killed during the search.

And the five Taliban prisoners that Obama released were HIGH RISK including two that were responsible for MASS MURDERS

It's the law of the jungle. As an anthropology student, you know that is true. :)

Guerilla tactics can work, but they require the support of the local population. The Cold War resulted in a lot of strange bedfellows, mostly the US aligning with RW dictators like Diem while the communists promised peace and prosperity for all...until they took over, then, not so much. LOL
