The Gaza-based Palestinian resistance organisation, HAMAS, is about to formally recognise the pre-1967 borders with Israel as the borders of the Palestinian state.
This is in accord with the United Nations vote of December, 2012, wherein the border was agreed by a vote of 138 states in favor to just 9 against- the detractors being Israel, the US, Canada, the Czechs and some minor Pacific Islands. That vote also recognised Palestinian statehood in the form of non-member observer state status.
This decision by Hamas is well-timed in that it anticipates another attack against Gaza by the neoZionist regime of the fascist, Netanyahu, who is in extreme political difficulties and seeks to extend his tenure by means of another ' war '. This age-old failing leadership tactic , however, is now on public view as it develops, via the onset of the Internet- so for Netanyahu to initiate the attack is much more difficult than it has previously been.
The tide of world opinion has turned against Israel- with a vengeance- and the Palestinian state is already a recognised reality, bar the removal of Israel's occupying forces. Another ' war ' would simply be an act of brutal spite, an act of brutal spite fuelled by the 50+ billion dollars just gifted to Israel by the Obama administration for Israel's ' defence ' . What is required now is a thorough dismantling of the neoZionist campaign against the Palestinian resistance which seeks to punish physical resistance by death and political resistance by political assassination. Let's get on with it.
