Haley or DeSantis?

Kind of like there’s no chance of DeSantis being Trump’s VP, the same thing here. Zero chance he picks Abbot. They are too similar. Abbot isn’t bringing in any voters DeSantis wouldn’t get on his own.

So give us a West Coast, or Mountain State Republican who would run with DeSantis and bring something new to the ticket

I pity you.

But if DeSantis beats Biden in the same type of "landslide" its okay with me, I like the result.

Ill make a deal with you, you can keep pretending your guy won, as long as my choice gets to actually be president.

I don’t really care about location. I personally would pick Tim Scott or Haley as VP and they’re both from SC. (Of course this is still a couple of years out so this is all hypothetical.). It’s about the type of voter you can attract and how you balance the ticket

Can't see Scott nor Haley bringing that much other than name recognition

Location isn't as important as it used to be, however, it can't be forgotten, reason Trump went with Pence, as I think any Republican nominee would do again, look for a Rust Belt VP, especially if you come from the South

Trump went with Pence to win over evangelicals who questioned Trumps behavior. No disrespect but you’re a Democrat, you’re not going to see anything positive about any Republican. Plenty of people who would voted for Biden would vote for a Republican. Haley and Scott offer a more “moderate” balance to the ticket and both have plenty of experience.

Who do you believe won the election?>

Moderates from South Carolina, and I didn't cast anything on the quality of any Republican candidate, rather that any GOP candidate from the South will have to have someone he can use to help him in the Rust States, the actual swing States, and can't see Scott nor Haley doing that for him

As A Democrat I dont blame you for not wanting a Desantis/scott ticket. You shouldnt...They will beat you down. Scott is by far the best choice for Desantis.

It’s the people and what they stand for, not their location. Maybe that was important in the past but far less important today.

We have to have a Senator as running mate from a state where if he vacates his seat another Republican is a shoe in to replace him because we NEED to hold onto the senate and actually gain seats. That can happen with Scott. With the rust belt guys like Johnson and others its a lot more tricky. Best to take the easiest path with Scott. He's qualified, will make an excellent VP, and will GAIN us votes. Trump/Desantis or Desantis/ Scott. Those are the winning tickets.

He doesnt want Scott because he KNOWS what he can do for the Desantis ticket. ;)

I truly wish the GOP would go back to practical conservatives like Kasich, instead of these hyperbolic grandstanders.

And no, Kasich isn't a "RINO." He's as staunch a conservative as anyone. And independents like me would vote for him.
