Much of the hysteria emanates from NASA GISS, run by Gavin Schmidt, he is a mathematician by training who specialises in climate models. Are you aware that not one of the CMIP5 models has been able to mirror real life behaviour, they all run way too hot? Probably not is my guess.

I also know many try to pass socialist economic policies under the guise of fighting global warming.

No, we conquered Iraq. We could've kept it and it's oil fields for ourselves. We gave it back to the people of Iraq. They own the oil fields of Iraq. They are the ones making any profit off of those oil fields.

Wars in the Middle East are religious in nature, not because of oil. They've been fighting since long before they drilled their first oil well! We went over their to free the people of Iraq and to keep a dictator from attacking his neighbors, not to get oil. We don't even buy Arab oil. We export oil We have all the oil we need.
