Many more people use cars on a daily bases than use a gun on a daily basis.

Overall, there were an estimated 254.4 million registered passenger vehicles in the United States according to a 2007 DOT study.

United States: guns per 100 residents (2007): 94.3. US population in 2007: 301.23 million.

US automobile fatalities in 2007: 41,259

Firearm deaths in 2007: 31,672

Do gun deaths exceed auto-related fatalities?

Before those stats are legitimately comparable, IMO, the intentional fatalities need to be removed, i.e. gun crimes, gangbangers, suicides, etc.

Just IMO. Because no laws will ever control those things...they are against the law now.
