No. Attorney General Holder is working on a new gun control policy that is more in line with the way firearms are regulated in civilized countries.

Soon there will be several appointments to the Supreme Court that will clear up the true meaning of the Second Amendment once and for all.

Now that the neocons have been rejected, a Constitutional convention can be called. Maybe a woman's right to choose will be a new amendment.

First of all, the USSupreme Court is not likely to revisit the 2nd Amendment issue any time soon. They rules on private firearm ownership in 1935 and in 2008. Not exactly a regular topic for them.

And as for the constitutional amendment, the democrats have a majority in congress and a presidency, but an amendment takes a good bit more.

I don't think that is one they want to try.
 
You create another amendment repealing the previous one. The 18th Amendment was repealed by the 21st Amendment.

which civilized countries would those be.....

and lets just say the feds pass an amendment .... if a state passes a law contrary to that.... would you invade the state with the obama youth.....

But, two-thirds of the murders in the U.S. are committed with guns. Repealing the Second Amendment would remove an obstacle to increased, comprehensive federal legislation.
 
Anything that reduces the number of guns is a good thing. We have the votes. Look at the landslide Obama whipped McSame with.

There is no way they would get three-fourths of the states to go along with it, sorry.

That would require 38 states going along with it. There are more than 13 states that have passed laws making gun ownership LESS restrictive.

congress will never vote to make guns illegal.....just as they will never vote to make abortion illegal.....they are a gutless mob....
 
It can and must happen. I would like to see police guns replaced by non-fatal weapons such as tasers while we ar at it.

Obama won by a decent margin. But that is different from repealing the 2nd amendment. One was an election for a leader for 4 years. The other is to change the freedoms we enjoy.
