Someone ringing your front doorbell is not a trespasser. And if doorbells were meant to inform you there was a trespasser, a real trespasser would simply not ring the doorbell.

So you say ringing a front doorbell's "consequences" should be murder? Is phoning the wrong phone number also a killable offense?

What a great neighborhood. Kid gets shot for ringing while black and nobody will help him, even though he's clearly injured. :mad:

In this case that "stuff" is attempted murder by a man who has clearly watched way too much FoxNews. The only way to justify attempted murder is to justify murder; success or failure is not legal justification for the action.

If our society does not like attempted murder, we should prosecute those that commit it.
