Gun Industry Wants Legal Silencers Because It Hurts The Shooter's Ears???

Why would you be against someone protecting their irreparable hearing? Do you even know how much a suppressor reduces noise to begin with?

If you could point out precisely where I'd said that I'm against someone protecting their hearing, I would appreciate it.

The instant jump from "He's asking why anyone would actually need a silencer in practical circumstances" to "He's against making silencers legal" tends to speak volumes. Guessing all that gun noise somehow affected your reading comprehension, too.

How about because a gun is loud as hell and that a homeowner shouldn't have to ruin his ears just to take out a scumbag who has broken in and is trying to rape his daughter?

When a burglar is in your house raping your daughter, there isn't time to put the fucking ear plugs one before putting two rounds between his eyes.

That's twice in a fairly specific scenario. I'm guessing there's a story there that is a bit less relevant in its specificity than necessary.

That said, if someone has broken into my house and is raping my daughter, I'm not going to worry about ear plugs, silencers OR my hearing.

No, indeed. Since the act of raping would require both my daughter and the burglar to be in fairly close proximity to each other, I'd actually not take the gun option at all for fear of hitting my daughter. I'd prefer the "baseball bat" or "knife" or "tackle-the-attacker-and-beat-the-shit-out-of-him" approach.

You know, so I didn't accidentally blow my daughter's brains out. But that's just me being a thinking person.

How about because it is a RIGHT, thanks to the Second Amendment?

Ah, ah, ah. Tsk, tsk. "Because I can" is not a logical answer. I actually said that.

You could just say "No I don't know anything about them. I also have no desire to learn as that information wouldn't help my preconceived notions".

Was there a need to? I asked questions, I don't have to qualify those questions because you wanted to be a presumptive prick. You made assumptions and instead of answering the questions decided to be somewhat dickish. That's on you.

You could learn a lesson from Legion Troll, however, who provided helpful information based on the questions I asked.
