What about your First Amendment rights? I thought it’s safer if everyone is armed?

I use my 1st amendment rights every time I go into one of those stadiums or gyms, talking loudly enough for people around me within reason to hear, telling the poor person hired to run me through the detector how sad it is that I can’t even carry my pocketknife in (actually they let me in with my pocketknife most of the time) to watch the blame football game.

But the “useless sports teams” are the source of much of that revenue. Cut out the “useless sports team” and the funding that was once there dries up.

So no money for mental health, no money for metal detectors, no money to arm all the teachers <eyeroll>. Then expect dead kids.

Do you understand that there are about 5000 students going to that school, we don’t have the budget to metal detect all of them. Tallahassee won’t give us that money. Additionally, it would be a very complex operation to do it in a secure way. Maybe it’s the answer, but we would need additional tax money for sure.
