Gun barrel-stroker stood his ground

Nobody gives a shit about your training and you saying 'you have more training' has no bearing on the masses of people acquiring guns at their local retailer, who have no training. So take you herp derp logic the fuck out of here.

And you will need to provide some links and data that Police have more accidents with guns than average citizens do.

And i am not saying average citizens need to be defenseless. I am simply pointing out the FACT that as gun numbers increase in the US, all citizens become less safe, and not more safe. When average citizens bring a gun in their home, trying to increase their safety, the FACT is they just made their home FAR LESS safe, and the chance of death via gun shot goes WAY UP.

So average home owners lie to themselves, telling them they are making their family more safe when the opposite is true. If the average family wants to protect their family the best thing they can do is not bring a gun into the house.

to really get something done you should get the government and congress to lay down their arms.

"swords into plowshares" is always a "you go first" scenario.

What a horrible, horrible thing. What kind of sick motherfucker brings a loaded gun to a WEDDING anyways? Especially one that he is officiating.

Thank the gods the boy wasn't killed.
It was a black powered derringer that was loaded with blanks. It was an open air wedding and he was trying to get everyone's attention so the wedding could begin. He was using it like a starter pistol but his thumb slipped of the hammer and it discharged. Some glue from the round struck his grandson in the shoulder area causing a minor injury.

you're doing nothing but listing talking points of anti gunners.

if someone breaks in to your home, the first thing you do is call someone with a GUN!!!!!!!!! the second thing you do is pray they get there in time.

so NO, you are NOT safer by being without guns in your home.

In before Anchovies. The House has no Speaker, Bidden is corrupt, the DOJ is giving preferential treatment to the pResident's son, and a Democrat Senator is taking bribes and this is the best you have?

An elected Republican official in Nebraska reportedly shot his own grandson by accident during a wedding.

Gardner has been charged with felony child abuse committed negligently and resulting in serious bodily injury. Gardner — an elected Republican official who has served as a commissioner in Ector County, Tex., since 2021 — said he turned himself in on Monday and was released on a $10,000 bond.

Texans are serious about protecting kids and the elderly from abuse.

Because the talking points are backed by the FACTS.

Yes in the extraordinarily rare event someone breaks in to average persons home with a gun, them having a gun MAY allow them to defend themselves. Although often the intruder will end up using their own gun on them.

But the MUCH higher risk is that gun will be used on a spouse, in domestic violence, or for a suicide, or in an accident, such as a child playing with it.

So the FACTS remain, that while the tiny risk of using the gun to fight off an invader is real, and you MAY end up protecting your family from that... but you have greatly increased the risk to your family over all and that they will die via gun.

Shooting a gun off at a wedding sounds real hillbilly.

It's certainly Texan. :)

The link said it was a homemade blank and the premise sounds fine to me but he fucked up by pointing the barrel in an unsafe direction. Even a blank can kill if close enough. Not just the wadding but the concussion.

My wedding was a Texas wedding; the Preacher wore a black duster and a cowboy hat along with a gunbelt. No shooting, but he did draw the gun and point it in the air at the point of "If any one objects to the union, let them speak now..." Everyone loved it. :)

Sounds like a real knucklehead.

And your point being? You still haven't explained to us what kind of sick motherfucker brings a loaded gun -- OF ANY SORT -- to a wedding.

Oh please. There are all sorts of weddings . This wasn't a lethal armed weapons and the damage it did was minimal. Depending on how sprawled out the crowd was a starter pistol type boom might have been a reasonable thing. The execution of the plan was flawed however.
