Great Story!

I find it curious that the FBI figures would be so dramatically different from the National Gang Center considering both agencies fall under the DOJ.

The FBI collects from reports of the various LEO agencies across the country. The latest report that I had....I think around 2,500 agencies reporting to it. Don't know where the national gang center gets theirs.

I also refer to you to the following limited study of gang-related homicides conducted by the CDC in five cities identified as having "a high prevalence of gang homicides." The study included Los Angeles, California; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Long Beach, California; Oakland, California; and Newark, New Jersey. In these five cities with a "high prevalence of gang homicides," the number of firearm homicides over the study period totaled 2,259. 817 were gang-related. 1,442 were not. That puts the percentage of gang-related firearm homicides in five cities with a high prevalence of gang homicides at 36%. I very much doubt that the overall percentage in the nation as a whole is higher than that.

I got your 'joke" the first time 3D. I'm smarter than you and nearly everyone else here with one or two exceptions. (and yes I mean that)

It was stupid both times! :)

I don't who you think the exceptions are but my sense is you are probably over-estimating them. You're the smartest, hands down!
