Great leaders don’t stay in the basement

Losing the election constitutes a pretty significant problem at this point lol.

Trump holds rallies because the formula seemed to work ok in 2016. Trump represents the segment of society that wants to continue living, producing, paying taxes and etc.

Those things that keep the country up and running.

Biden represents teacher’s unions, the work from home or get on Zoom crowd. IOW, that segment which prefers and/or is able to work from home—or not all. Stay shacked up till the Virus is gone or there’s a vaccine.

That’s leadership; and it’s the kind of leadership this country needs right now.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Trump has unnecessarily endangered thousands of people. Yes, the rally formula "worked" - but a real leader doesn't do it if it puts supporters at risk. Which it does.

And he doesn't hold rose garden ceremonies without strictly enforcing distancing and masks. There was a time over the past few days when our national security was at serious risk.

You're justifying irresponsible, reckless behavior. Not leadership.

There is none. I have never justified that. Nor will I vote for any of the protestors for President.

Nor should the OP justify Trump's reckless behavior.

We all need to do better.

Your party, the radical Democrat party justifies that.

They also justify the riots in American cities that are controlled by Democrats. They not only condone it, they encourage it by not stopping this

anarchy.

Got a quote "justifying riots?"

You may not not have noticed our American cities controlled by Democrats that are burning but most Americans have.

You may not have noticed that the Democrats who control the response to these riots and anarchy have done nothing to stop it. When they do

make a rare arrest, the rioters and looters are released the next day.

These radical Democrats refuse federal help while Americans suffer with the riots and burning.

Indeed, she does not.

Of course, a Marxist shill might try to claim that "protests aren't riots", and may even pretend that marching mobs engaged in vandalism, looting, arson, assault, (and murder) while "outdoors and mostly wearing masks" isn't a public health risk.

While grocery store workers brave the virus, Scranton Joe quivers with fear in the basement.

Someone had to make the pizza he ordered. Let the peasants take the "risks" he pretends are killing 200 million Americans, I suppose.

ARE MASKS INVISIBLE TO YOU?

They are to the Chinese virus, Doctor Nerdberg.

"There are limits to how a mask can protect you from being infected and we've said the most important thing everyone can do is wash your hands, keep your hands away from your face, observe very precise hygiene," said WHO's emergencies director Mike Ryan.

"I'm surprised to see through the window in my ministry lots of people in the street wearing masks when that doesn't correspond to our recommendations," French health minister Olivier Veran said.

experts say masks can give people who wear them a false sense of security.

For example, many people who wear them don't follow the official advice of washing their hands thoroughly first, ensuring it's air tight and not to touch it once it's on.

"People are always readjusting their masks and that has the potential to contaminate them," said France's head of health, Jerome Salomon.

"If someone has come across the virus, it's surely going to be on the mask."

Gloves, similarly, don't greatly heighten protection and could even end up making you sick.

"If people cannot stop touching their face, gloves will not serve a purpose," Amesh Adalja, from Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told AFP.

the American Journal of Infection Control found that people touch their face on average 20 times an hour.

The novel coronavirus is transmitted via skin contact, transferring infected globules of mucus via the ears, eyes or nose.

How come Slow Joe gets to hide in his basement and order some poor slob to prepare pizzas so he can pull a political stunt?

In your opinion lol.

There are many voters who agree with me—and they aren’t necessarily all Trump supporters. There’s tens of millions of voters [cashiers, healthcare workers etc etc] that never got to ‘hide in the basement’ throughout all this.

And they see the president working and taking the same risks they have.

Is what it is.

Leaders listen to health experts rather than do the exact opposite and get sick like those that do. Leaders need to be the example to follow not the example of how not to do things. You rag on Biden when he does things one way and whine when he doesn't anyway. You're little brats whining about what's included for dinner and than whining there's not enough to eat when it's taken out.

His rallies are ego-fests. The rose garden celebration was completely unnecessary, and could have been done w/ basic precautions.

I don't think you're right about "many voters" in this case. Trump keeps trying to ignore the virus. It's not what we need, and it's not what leaders do.

During his short four minute appearance last night, Trump looked under the weather but otherwise pretty good considering some of the ‘speculation’ going around in the media and on Twitter.

He appeared/sounded to be speaking off the cuff.

I don’t know if it was intentional or not but he made a subtle but very effective distinction between himself and Biden:

“I had to be out front and this is America, this is the United States. The greatest country in the world. This is the most powerful country in the world. I can’t be locked up in a room upstairs, totally safe and just say ‘Hey, whatever happens, happens’. I can’t do that. We have to confront problems. As a leader, you have to confront problems. There’s never been a great leader that would have done that.”

Ouch.

Is trump suggesting Biden's on the same leadership level as himself, or is he just lying as usual lol?

Jason MIller stated on October 4, 2020 in comments on ABC's "This Week":

Says Joe Biden stays in his basement.

It’s one of Trump’s favorite attacks against Biden. It’s also, by any objective measure, wrong...

...[There were] at least 14 public events not in Biden’s basement in September. He made trips to seven states: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. Biden did address the Poor People’s Campaign virtually from his basement on Sept. 14...
