Grand jury declines to indict Cleveland officer in shooting of 12-year-old Tamir Rice

Not sure will have to look. However the main point here is that the mother told the police that he was schizophrenic beforehand and off his meds so they were well aware of that fact. Even more crazy is they won't be facing any charges!

And of course it's a well known fact that schizophrenics armed with a screwdriver NEVER EVER attack anyone or try to harm them, especially when their off their meds.

Schizophrenics with a screwdriver are unlikely to shoot you. Tasers should be enough to allow you to subdue them without the whole video of cop shooting man w/screwdriver story...

There is an element of LE that will always be looking for an excuse to get violent or lethal.
They tend to make news.

This. As pro-law enforcement as I am, there are absolutely cases where police do use excessive force and these need to be minimized. Training, training, training... Tasers made available to agencies... Etc. Along with that an attitude that ALL lives matter needs to be fostered especially where it is lacking.

I agree.

How about accountability instead? How about an end to immunity from prosecution? How about a mandatory street lamp neck tie for those who infringe upon the rights of Citizens?

LOL. He doesn't belong to conservatives any more than the ISIS folks that shot up San Bernardino belong to the leftists even though it was Obama's vaunted "vetting" that let half of that attack into the country.

Looks like your knee jerked a little too soon. I was referring to Stormy, not the Cleveland authorities.

If two cops, who are presumably trained to deal with these situations, can only gun somebody mentally ill down then they shouldn't even be in the job. They had a full complement of non-lethal weapons at their disposal yet chose to gun the poor bastard down like he was a rabid dog.

Then we get into the frame of - Did they have Tasers - Tasers don't always work (as videos on YouTube have shown) and they were close enough to possibly have been stabbed, and while a screwdriver can't shoot you, it can still kill someone.

Why was a schizophrenic, who hasn't been taking his meds, allowed to have a sharpened instrument?

The bastards knew in advance that he was mentally ill as the mother told the dispatcher that her son was off his meds. So their response was to send the effing Gestapo in to deal with it!

Really - Can you provide a list of what THEY HAD AT THEIR DISPOSAL??

So two cops, both equipped with tasers, are incapable of dealing with a mentally ill man armed with a screwdriver with a 3 inch blade. If that happened over here, those cops would be in jail now.

Those cops were allowed to get off scot free, what message does that send out to others?
