if I was left winger I would say a great way to generate more tax revenue (save on tax deductions) would be to limit home deductions eligibility to the median home price. this way there's no incentive to abuse the tax deductions. Rich guys would only get the same dedudction as the trailer-trash by the railroad tracks. I could stick it to those evil home owners who have to flaunt their wealth and buy home that's more than the median price
