GOP talking point: if you oppose SCOTUS decision, you're against democracy

Well, that's simply incorrect. When the state forces a woman to carry a fetus to term when she has other options, they are absolutely regulating her body.
totally wrong. unless a person is raped, they make a CHOICE to have sex where they KNOWINGLY have a possibility of becoming pregnant. That is not regulation, that is dealing with the possible consequences of a choice.

And it puts us at odds w/ most of the modern western world.

who cares about the rest of the 'modern' western world if being 'modern' means you can murder unborn children for birth control reasons

It's just about respecting the rights of women.

American conservatives are starting to sound very Taliban-y.

Because, hey - now the VOTERS get to decide if a woman has rights nor not. Why would anyone be opposed to that? Don't you trust voters to do the right thing?

I've already heard it a half dozen times in the past day. If you oppose overturning a 50+ year old precedent and what has been the law of the land for a generation, you're against democracy. You're against Americans.

They really play us all for fools.

We must accept the decision as the law, but we are free to oppose it, just like they have opposed Roe v. Wade. Was it against democracy when they opposed Roe?

How is this about "rights?" This isn't about "rights." Where does it say abortion is a "right?" This is about a civilized societies collective conscience.

Yes, as a citizen of a state you get a say in what laws they will pass as is reserved in the Constitution in article X. If you don't like it, MOVE. See how simple that is? No need to send lunatic mobs in to attack and shout down those they disagree with. That isn't Democracy. That is third world shit holeism.
:palm:

Again, there is no "right" to an abortion contained within the Constitution. It was a decision made by lawyers wearing black robes. Judge's do not get to fabricate law from the flimsiest of arguments.

There were idiots like you who made the same stupid arguments about Dred vs Scott too.
:palm:

They really play us all for fools.

The Democratic Party of Lying Jackasses certainly do. They love fools like you who will parrot their lies, distortions and strawmen. :palm:

its about respecting the rule of law. you want to amend the constitution- amend it

but 197 years after it was passed, finding new rights is bullshit

Abortion isn't in the Constitution - but privacy is.

If our Constitution really doesn't protect a woman's rights over her own body, it's a pretty big gap.

Trump appointed three of these judges

MAGA!!!

All because the Russians fixed an election for him

There you go again with that tired, stupid, lie filled, repugnantly lunatic bullshit again. I don't think you can post without lying and looking like a brain dead lunatic. :palm:

And because turtle head illegally kept Obama from his constitutional right to appoint a SCOTUS member

What law was broken you brain dead, lying lunatic hack?

privacy does not allow you to kill other individuals - so that is a retarded defense

it didn't give you a right to abortion for 197 years. no new law was passed. so it doesn't do what you claim it does- you misused the judicial branch and got away with it for too long - and we put an end to it

Terminating a pregnancy.

Pregnant - "having a child or other offspring developing in the body; with child or young, as a woman or female mammal."

Calling it "murder" or "killing" is an extremist position. Even SCOTUS doesn't call it that.
SCOTUS has been getting constitutional things wrong for almost 2 centuries.........relying on them to pull rights or interpretations of rights out of thin air is quite possibly the stupidest thing to do

No one did anything to the judicial branch. They made their own decision that a long series of courts upheld for decades.

Then, Republicans played games w/ appointments and put in enough radical justices to make their dreams happen.
